Before building a wood fence in Houston you have to prepare all the materials and things that you will need. Building a wooden fence is really easy provided you have made a plan to follow. If you are creative enough, you will find that there are varieties of designs to choose from.

After preparing all the things you need from posts and board to nails you can decide where you will run the fence. Place the post on the last part first running a queue from the beginning to ending point to keep all posts in line. Driving a stake in the earth will mark where every post will be set out. You have to place each post accurately.

Hollow out all post holes just sufficient to fit 1/3 of the distance end to end of the post with a post hole digger going straight into the ground. Put several big stone or gravel at the base of every hole then fill it with either dirt or concrete. Support the fence posts with stakes to keep it in the proper position until the concrete dries up. If you use dirt be sure to compress it down. Around the base, build a slight pile with concrete to get rid of standing water. Then connect a railing bar to the top and base of the initial post by measuring it accurately to have a perfect alignment.

If you decide to make a picket railing, nail the boards alongside the facade of the fence. Connect every single board to one side of the railing. For more intricate designs swap them from one side to the other side then color the fence for the finishing touches.
